California Wildfires

The October 2017 Northern California wildfires burned over a quarter million acres across the Napa, Lake, Sonoma, Mendocino, Butte, and Solano counties. Seventeen separate wildfires were reported, including the Tubbs, Atlas and Nuns fire. Collectively, this event constitutes the largest loss of life due to wildfires in the United States since the Cloquet Fire in 1918. Thousands of homes and businesses were destroyed, for a cost of over $3.5 billion. We stand with the people of California and want to make our contribution to the relief efforts. We created this coin commemorating the wildfires, and will donate $5 for every coin purchased directly to those affected by the wildfires. The obverse features an image of hands cradling a sapling with America Comes Together - Relief Rescue Recovery circling the sapling and hands. The reverse shows the state seal of California. This 1.75” antique bronze coin is packaged in a capsule card that shows off the exquisite sculpting and the deep relief of the coin.
